Fort Worth Officer stabbed, a Suspect was shot dead

A Fort Worth Police officer shot a man during a scuffle with the suspect. An incident took place on early Saturday morning.

Officials informed that unknown officer was pulled over a vehicle in the 1700 block of Northeast 36th Street at around 4 a.m. There a “physical fight” broke out between him and the driver.

The suspect had stabbed the officer multiple times and the officer fired striking the suspect.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical personality present there.

Identity of the deceased was not released.

The officer who was stabbed has been on the force since 2008. He was taken to the hospital. He was said to be in a stable condition with injuries to his legs. He is on administrative leave.
